Metrognome Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 4, 2026. Metrognome is a metronome and rhythm-practice toy published by Ian Lintner / Code Lintner. It runs entirely on your device.

We Collect No Data

Metrognome does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There is no account system and no login. Any settings you change — tempo, time signature, sound, or your chosen character — stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.

No Permissions, Fully Offline

The app requests no runtime permissions and makes no network connections. Specifically, Metrognome does not access:

  • Microphone or camera — it only plays click sounds, it never records.
  • Location, contacts, or storage.
  • The internet — there are no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Suitable for All Ages

Because the app collects no data, it complies with COPPA and the Google Play Families policy by design, and is appropriate for children.

Platform Diagnostics

Apple and Google may collect anonymized crash logs and basic system statistics at the operating-system level. This is only shared if you have opted into diagnostics in your device settings, is fully anonymous, and is used solely to fix bugs. Metrognome itself adds no diagnostics of its own.
